For Aonghus’ 11th birthday cake birthday, I made him a Minecraft cake.

I achieved the dark colour of the soil by using brownie instead of cake. This was also an advantage when it came to piping all the grass because brownie isn’t as crumbly as cake, so the grass stayed a fresh green instead of muddy! The chicken (or duck, I don’t know what it is!), the pig and Steve I moulded out of fondant. I supported the stack of brownie with skewer sticks which worked quite well.
